Who's behind Horizon Works.
Neil Serdinsky is the founder of The Horizon Works Group — an enterprise technology executive and software founder with more than 32 years of experience building, operating, and modernizing complex technology environments across financial services, consulting, and entrepreneurial ventures.
His deepest expertise is in market data technology, where he leads engineering and operations for real-time platforms used across capital markets, wealth management, advisory, brokerage, and banking at a major financial-services firm. His career began in hands-on engineering and systems administration — UNIX, distributed infrastructure, networking, databases, and mission-critical operations — and grew to span application development, cloud, agile delivery, CI/CD, platform modernization, vendor governance, and AI and data strategy. Earlier consulting and operating roles, including work at a global consulting firm and senior technology-office leadership, covered infrastructure operations, process improvement, merger integration, portfolio governance, financial management, and large-scale technology operating discipline.
He is also an operator. Alongside his corporate career, he has owned and run service-based businesses and built ventures across wellness, education, real estate, land operations, consulting, and software — a lens many technology leaders lack: an understanding not only of systems and platforms, but of payroll, cash flow, customer experience, hiring, compliance, and the pressure of making a business work. Through Horizon Works, he focuses on practical software development, technology operations, and advisory work for organizations that need disciplined systems without unnecessary enterprise complexity — with particular interest in regulated technology, AI-enabled business systems, and software that moves organizations from manual processes to durable digital operations.
